Professor Rodrigo Olivares-Caminal was recently interviewed by the Greek media on the topic of new Banking Recovery and Resolution Directive, in view of the ongoing sovereign and banking crisis in Greece. Professor Olivares-Caminal explained the main features of the Directive and explained how a bail-in operates and analysed the possibility of imposing a "haircut" to depositors.

Martin Weale is Professor of Economics at Queen Mary University of London with an interest in applied economics, econometrics and economic history. He is also a member of the Monetary Policy Committee of the Bank of England.

Recent work by Professor Marco Manacorda has been presented at the Trento’s economics festival. The research, investigating nepotism and hiring decisions of Italian firms, has received wide attention in Italian and international media.
Marco Manacorda is a Professor at Queen Mary University since 2000. He is also a Research Associate at the CEP (London School of Economics) and a Research Fellow of the CEPR and IZA.
Professor Rodrigo Olivares-Caminal co-chairs Working Group of Experts on sovereign debt

Rodrigo Olivares-Caminal, Professor of Banking and Finance Law at CCLS, co-chaired a Working Group of Experts with Hon Sir Robin Knowles CBE on sovereign debt. The group was convened by the Financial Markets Law Committee of the Bank of England with the aim of addressing issues of legal uncertainty or misunderstanding in the financial markets.
On this occasion, Professor Olivares-Caminal contributed to a joint publication, following a request from representatives of the International Monetary Fund. The resulting paper is on the role, use and meaning of Pari Passu Clauses in Sovereign Debt Obligations as a matter of English Law.
