The School regularly hosts invited lectures on current affairs themes by prominent speakers from academia, the government, the financial sector and the media.

Recent speakers at the School include Tim Harford (FT columnist and author of popular books such as “The Undercover Economist”), Robert Peston (BBC business editor), Scott Page (leading researcher on diversity and author of “The Difference: How the Power of Diversity Creates Better Groups, Firms, Schools, and Societies), Lord Sebastian Coe (Chair of the London 2012 Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games), Lord Richard Layard (Professor Emeritus at the London School of Economics and member of the House of Lords, a world expert in the economics of well-being), and Paul Mason (Channel 4 News Culture and Digital Editor and formerly BBC Newsnight Economics Editor).
